Welcome to the Country House – Museum – Studio of the internationally renowned portrait painter Antonio Montiel. (He painted Her Majesty the Queen of England in 2002 (www.antonmontiel.biz)
As I represent the painter in Europe I wanted an easily accessible base in Spain away from the big cities. In the village of Begijar I discovered the perfect house with its Andalusia patio in a quiet neighbourhood in the old part of the village. To cut a long storey short: the house and studio is where the painter has produced some very significant works and is now a place to stay. Its comfortable English atmosphere makes the house museum unique.
