HISTORY
The Electrodomesticos Vitoria Basketball Club was founded in summer of year 2001 by Mr. Iker Lopez, starting at the third division of the territorial league of Alava (Spain). This very first team was formed by 9 players and the head coach, Jaime Bobadilla. The main purprose of the club on its first year was to stay in the third division, finishing the season in the middle of the clasification, which was not bad.
The fisrt players to wear the Electrodomésticos Vitoria's shirt were Igor Caridad, Diego Arizaga, Javier Chicote, Iñigo Loza, Álvaro Fernandez, David Bobadilla, Sergio Fernandez de Oteo, Iñigo Gamboa and Xabier Fernandez de Eribe. You can find more information about them in the players section.
The 2002-2003 season arrived with many changes, both in the players and the structure of the team. Diego Arizaga, who was the captain the year before, substituyed Jaime Bobadilla in the position of the head coach, and they came two coach assistants: César Diago and Gorka Aldea.
Also new players came to cover the position left by Igor Calidad, Xabier Fdz de Eribe and Diego Arizaga. These people were: German Mtz. de Ezquerecocha, Iñaki Ortiz de Arri, Joseba Paredes, Iván Gmz. de Segura and Abar Gmz. de Segura. The team improved in both quality and experience, at the same time that new expectations were formed, considering the actual possibilities of the team.
At the moment there is a big opportunity to finish 1st of the group, what would mean that next season they will play in second division. Now the team needs fans support to reach this goal...
